Football is taken very seriously in Portugal and they play at a high level, allowing for great competition and wonderful training and experience for students. Not only will you find a high level of school football, but you will be able to emerse yourself in the culture. Don’t miss out on the great experience that Portugal has to offer.


The best time to visit Portugal for sports tours is between September and June, thus avoiding the hottest, busiest and most expensive months of July and August.

  • Porto – The second-largest city in Portugal has renewed itself in recent years and is becoming a growing European city break destination, known for its friendly locals and great
  • Évora – is one of Portugal’s most enchanting cities. The Romans established themselves there in BC 57, but it was under Moorish rule that the town began to take shape, its maze of narrow lanes and alleys typical of Islamic urban design. A great place to explore!

Day 1

  • Group to assemble at London Gatwick Airport
  • Depart on EasyJet Flight EZY8583 to Porto
  • Flight land in Porto
  • On arrival at Porto airport you will be met by a TEAM Sports Travel representative and transferred by coach (26 miles approx.) to the Lousada Country Hotel where you will check-in for a 4-night stay with meals as indicated
  • Lunch at hotel
  • Time at leisure to relax and then prepare for match
  • U-15 (19:00h às 20:00h) vs U-15 local Team (boys and girls)
  • After match, walk back to the hotel


  • Time to freshen up, evening at leisure
  • Team dinner at hotel

Day 2

  • Breakfast at leisure at hotel
  • Time to prepare for self-led training, a short walk down to the pitches
  • Self-led training – how long is this training session? And how many pitches are booked?
  • Lunch at hotel
  • Time at leisure to relax at resort, use the bikes to explore local area, play mini golf, or enjoy the pool
  • Fixtures:
    • U-  U-15 (19:00h às 20:00h) vs U-15 local Team (boys and girls)
    • U-18 (20:00h às 21:00h) vs U-18 local Team (boys and girls)
  • Dinner at Hotel

Day 3

  • Breakfast at leisure at hotel
  • Time to prepare for self-led training, followed by fixture 2
  • Walk to down pitches
  • Self-led training
  • Walk back to hotel
  • You will be taken into the City of Porto to explore (packed lunch included)
  • Return to hotel to prepare for fixture
  • Walk to pitches/match
  • Fixture -U-18 (19:00h às 20:00h) vs U-18 Regional “National Team”
  • After match, walk back to the hotel
  • Team dinner at hotel

Day 4

  • Breakfast at leisure at hotel
  • Time to prepare for self-led training
  • Walk down to pitches
  • Self-led training
  • Lunch at hotel
  • Time at leisure to relax at resort, use the bikes to explore local area, play mini golf, or enjoy the pool
  • Return to hotel to prepare for fixture 3
  • Walk to pitches/match
  • Fixtures:
  • U-15 (19:00h às 20:00h) vs U-15 local Team (boys and girls)
  • U-18 (20:00h às 21:00h) vs Viso Ladies Team
  • After match, walk back to the hotel
  • Team dinner at hotel

Day 5

  • Collect breakfast packets and check-out
  • Transfer to Porto Airport
  • Depart on EasyJet Flight EZY8582 to London Gatwick Airport
  • Flight arrives at London Gatwick Airport
